Who can get a card:
Any resident, age 3 and up, who lives within the city boundaries of Fairview Heights is eligible for a free library card. If you are not sure if your address lies within the city boundaries, call us at 618-489-2070 or visit the desk – we can check your address in our database. You must have a valid library card to check out materials.
Non-resident fees
Non-residents (those who live outside of Fairview Heights) may purchase cards for the going rate. The rate for 2024-2025 is $108.00 per year, per household. This rate is in effect starting September 1, 2024.
How to get a card:
Residents of Fairview Heights and those that are within our district can apply for a library card. You can get a library card by either visiting the desk during our open hours, or begin your registration by filling out the form online. To fully activate your library account, you will then need to visit the library and show a current driver’s license or ID showing your Fairview Heights adress. If your ID does not show your Fairview Heights address, you will also need to bring in an official document to verify your address, such as a bill, bank statement, or lease.
