Friends of the Fairview Heights Public Library are library patrons who are convinced of the importance of a well equipped, well staffed and up to date library.  Friends believe in the value of reading and the importance of the availability of information and materials to people of all ages.

Our Library Friends organize and host the yearly Friends Library Booksale.  Friends meet monthly to sort thru donations and prepare them for the sale. They are always looking for new memberships and help with preparing for this yearly event.

Thanks to the financial support of the Friends, the Library has purchased shelving, library materials and computers.  The Friends also underwrite the children’s Summer Reading programs as well as countless programs the library hosts.

Friends of the Library Meetings

The Friends meet four times a year, the 4th Friday of January, April, July and October at 1:00 pm in the Board Room, lower level.  All meetings are open to the public and the Friends welcome anyone who is interested in learning more about their organization.
