Join us for an elegant season of reading, wit, and charm with our 2026 Adult Reading Program. Inspired by the timeless works of Jane Austen and the exciting world of Bridgerton, this year’s theme, A Novel Affair, invites you to indulge in a most delightful literary experience. Read, attend, and engage for your chance to win splendid prizes worthy of high society.
Program Overview:
Complete the Reading Log to Win Grand Prizes: Keep track of your literary pursuits by filling out our reading log.
Complete as many as you can—the more you read, the greater your chances of winning grand prizes fit for the ton!
Weekly Prize Drawings: You’ll have the chance to win a book bundles and other small prizes in one of our 7 weekly drawings.
(Weekly wins will not lessen your chances of earning a grand prize at the end of the season.)
How to Participate:
Stop by the Library to pick up your Reading Log.
Begin reading and record your progress on your log.
Return completed logs to the library and start anew.
Participate in our Society Engagements for additional chances to win in the Weekly Prize Drawings.
Society Engagements:
~ The Grand Hunt – Embark on a genteel scavenger hunt! Seek out hidden Regency-era characters throughout the library. When you find one, note your name and number on the back and present it at the circulation desk.

~ Charade & Conceit – Create a riddle and earn an extra entry in the Weekly Prize Drawings. Prove yourself a true master of wit and wordplay! Create a riddle about a beloved author, a popular fictional character, or another well-known figure. Your clever submissions will be featured in games at our themed events—where only the most discerning minds will uncover the answers.
~ A Matter of Opinion – Complete our program satisfaction survey and let your voice be heard—because every opinion counts in polite society.
